The Blue Lagoon is a unique geothermal wonder. The president of Iceland formally opened the new geothermal spa facilities at the Blue Lagoon on July 15, 1999. The Blue Lagoon is located only a 15 minute drive from the Leifur Eiriksson International Air Terminal.
